Obituary - James Wilbur Noffsinger

James Wilbur Noffsinger 83, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his home outside of Whitefish where he lived with his full-time caregiver. Vicki Brockish.

Jim was born June 1, 1937, in Cardston, Canada. His parents moved to Havre, where he attended Catholic school.  Jim also worked for the Park Saddle Horse Company, which his family owned.

In 1959, Jim enlisted into the U.S. Army, serving four years - honorably discharged - and worked on the railroad for 44 years before retiring as a conductor.

After retiring, you could find Jim out cutting firewood and enjoying his home up in Essex.

Jim is proceeded in death by his wife, Gail Noffsinger, the true love of his life; brother, George Noffsinger Havre, and his parents.

Jim loved the mountains and hunting. When listening and watching him tell a story of hunting camp, you could always find a smile on his face and a gleam in his eye.  One of the many traits he instilled in his children was his strong work ethic.

Railroads and riding were a good life.

Jim is survived by his sisters, Helen Clark of Whitefish and Mary Little of Brandon, Florida; sons Jim Noffsinger of Whitefish and Jay Noffsinger of Hamilton, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
