Musical Soup raises more than $1,000 plus food donations

Press release

The Atrium's Musical Soup event was able to raise more than $1,000 for two critically important nonprofit organizations in Havre.

The Atrium held the benefit concert Musical Soup Aug. 29, which was aimed at raising money and food for Feed My Sheep Soup Kitchen and The Havre Community Food Bank.

The event was also livestreamed over the Atrium's Facebook and had a virtual fundraising page for the Soup Kitchen.

The organizers said they are very grateful for everyone who came out in support of the event and that they also want to thank all of the local musicians who came out and performed.

With the help and generosity of the community, the event raised $957 for Feed My Sheep and $160 and more than 20 food items for The Havre Community Food Bank.

"It was only with the help of the people and the local talent in the community we were able to have such a successful event," Derek Hann, event organizer, said. "We hope to be able to in the future do more events such as the Musical Soup benefit concert, and we look forward to continuing to put on events the people in Havre can enjoy."
