Pioneers crush Longhorns in Six-Man playoffs

The Big Sandy Pioneers wanted to beat the blizzard, and in doing so, they beat the Wibaux Longhorns. Friday afternoon in Big Sandy, the Pioneers beat Wibaux 56-7 in the opening round of the Six-Man playoffs. The top-ranked Pioneers got six touchdowns from Kade Strutz on their way to the Six-Man quarterfinals. Big Sandy will either host Hot Springs on Bridger next Saturday afternoon.

At the state cross country meet in Kalispell Saturday, Havre High finished seventh in the girls meet, while the Ponies boys took 12th. Tamera O'Leary was the top finisher for the Pony girls, while Dylan Young paced the HHS boys.
