Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Delaney Kellam, Chinook Volleyball

The Chinook Sugarbeeters didn’t quite capture the District 7C title last weekend, but they came close, and senior Delaney Kellam had a huge tournament. Kellam averaged eight kills and nearly four blocks over the course of three matches at the 7C tournament. Kellam, an All-Conference performer a year ago, has led Chinook in kills and blocks all season long and helped them advance to this week’s Northern C.

Kade Strutz, Big Sandy Football

Yet again, Big Sandy’s Kade Strutz is tearing apart opposing defense. Last Saturday against Bridger, Strutz scored four touchdowns and rushed for 272 yards as the Pioneers advanced to the Six-Man semifinals. In two playoff games, Strutz has rushed for over 500 yards and scored 10 touchdowns for the undefeated Pioneers. Strutz is already a two-time Six-Man All-State performer.
