Sweet Home in Chinook Wednesday said another COVID-19-related death at the faciltiy was confirmed and Montana again broke 1,000 for new cases in one day listed in today's update of the state COVID-19 response tracking map.

The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Montana on the state map after today’s 10 a.m. update was 36,968 with 1,013 new cases, just missing a new daily record. The number of hospitalizations, including people hospitalized before being tested, was 1,421 with 414 active hospitalizations. The number of tests completed was 52,024 with2,736 new tests listed this morning. The number of deaths was 407. The number of recoveries was 23,300 and the number of active cases was 13,261.

Local cases by county:

Hill: 20 new cases, 970 total, 268 active, 22 active hospitalizations, 679 recovered, 23 deaths

Liberty: 1 new case, 39 total, 10 active, 29 recovered

Blaine: 19 new cases, 399 total, 145 active, 11 active hospitalizations, 243 recovered, 11 deaths

Chouteau: 4 new cases, 134 total, 58 active, 76 recovered

Rocky Boy — Also included in Hill or Chouteau county numbers — 12 new cases, 168 active on the reservation, 1 active hospitalizations, 281 recovered, deaths
