Havre Police Department

Albert Leo Colantuono of Havre, 26, was issued a summons on a theft charge after a caller a First Street business asked Thursday at 7:55 a.m. to speak with an officer about a shoplifting incident.

An officer investigated a possible break-in reported at 10:23 a.m. Thursday at a First Street business.

Thursday at 11:32 a.m., a 16th Street West caller reported a political flag had been stolen.

A two-vehicle crash between a Subaru Outback and a Ford Escape was reported at Second Street and Third Avenue Thursday at 5:05 p.m.

James Marlin Lee Johnson of Havre, 47, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, refused to test, and driving without vehicle insurance after a caller on First Street West reported a possible drunken driver Thursday at 9:49 p.m.

An arrest was made after a caller on Jefferson Avenue reported man trying to break into an apartment at 4:54 a.m. today. No further details on charges were provided.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies were called to Rollercoaster Road Thursday at 4:25 p.m. to provide assistance.

Several vehicle reported sliding off area roads. No major injuries were reported.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Thursday and one early this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held six 9-month-old kittens and six cats all of unknown gender, two female 19-week-old kittens and two male cats.

The shelter also held two male mixed-breed dogs, a male 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, two female mixed breed dogs, a male Akita dog, a male 9-month-old shepherd puppy, a male 6-month-old shepherd puppy, a female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a male 19-week-old shepherd puppy.
