Havre Police Department

A summons was issued after a caller at a First Street business reported Wednesday at 9:47 a.m. that a woman had her wallet stolen at the business Tuesday. No details on the charges were provided.

An officer initiated investigation of a sexual or violent offender registry violation Wednesday at 12:04 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Two arrests were made after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported shoplifting Wednesday at 12:32 p.m. No details were provided on the charges.

Two arrests were made during a Wednesday 12:36 p.m. vehicle stop on First Street West. Layla Arwen Ell and Misty Michelle Denny, who were named as involved parties in the dispatch log, were being held this morning in the jail. Ell is charged with violation of a suspended sentence from District Court and obstructing. Denny is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and is on a 72-hour hold from probation and parole.

Stephanie Rita Small of Havre, 37, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence during a vehicle stop on First Street West at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday.

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Wednesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four cats and two 9-month-old kittens all of unknown gender, four male cats, two male 9-month-old kittens, two female 20-week-old kittens and one female cat.

The shelter also held a male mixed-breed dog, a male 21-week-old border collie puppy, a male 11-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female mixed breed dog, a male 6-month-old shepherd puppy, a female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a male 20-week-old shepherd puppy.
