Pedersen, McCloy join the MSU-Northern Foundation

Press release

The MSU-Northern Foundation announced it has hired two new people to join its staff at the office on the Northern campus.

Toni Pedersen starts today in the role of director of finance and Darla McCloy started one week ago in the position of operations specialist

Pedersen, originally from Wolf Point, will take over as the head of finance as current CFO Amanda Meyer steps down to do other things. An alum of Northern, Pedersen has been living in Havre for the past few years, most recently working at Anderson ZurMuehlen & Co., PC.

“I was impressed with her 20 years of finance history, her positive disposition, and I look forward to working together with Toni,” Foundation Executive Director Shantel Cronk said.

McCloy, who grew up in Circle, has been hired to pioneer the position of operations specialist. She comes to the foundation after working at Montana State University Billings in payroll. Reporting to Cronk, she will work in conjunction with both Outreach Coordinator Lee Lounder and Pedersen, helping to manage the foudation’s alumni database and bookkeeping.

In reviewing the organizational structure and workload, the Board of Trustees recognized the need for more administrative help and voted to create the role of Operations Specialist.

“Our Trustees are amazing,” Cronk said. “We have such a wonderful group of individuals that volunteer their time to serve on our board and they recognize the heavy lifting our small staff does to help Northern and its students.”

The members of the Board of Trustees are listed on the foundation website at http://msunfoundation.org under “About Us.”
