Vic was born September 21, 1963 to Aron and Carmen (Bawden) King in Wolf Point, Montana. He attended school in Malta and Glasgow, Montana, graduating from Malta High School in 1982. He attended Northern Montana College in Havre, receiving as associate degree in diesel technology; this is where he met his future wife, Virginia.

Vic and Virginia were married June 15, 1985. Their oldest son, Victor Edward, was born March 21, 1988 and Aron Ward was born March 22, 1995. Vic welcomed daughter Susan Leens July 5, 2005.

Vic worked in the Wolf Point area for several years. In 1991, the family moved to Havre. He was an avid hunter. When Vic was about 4 years-old he would go hunting "with the guys."  He would ride with Great-Grandpa Willie standing behind his shoulder. Much to his mother's dismay, his grandpa Verner gave him his first .22 at the age of 9 (sparrows beware). In later years he started bow hunting.

In 2008, Vic was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, which spread to his liver and lungs. With his working history being mostly outdoors, he needed to change careers. While taking treatments he attended Flathead Community College, receiving as Associate of Arts for substance abuse counseling. He worked as a counselor at an addiction clinic until his health forced him to take a leave of absence.

Vic has two granddaughters that were very important to him.  Kaylee (how grandpa always spelled her name) and Ava. Ava will tell you she is grandpa's "special girl."

He was preceded in death by grandparents Verner and Polly (Price) King, Victor and Pauline (Svingen) Bawden, and mother-in-law Marjory (Deurmier) Moe.

Vic is survived by his wife of 35 years Virginia (Moe) King; sons, Victor E. and his daughters Kaylie and Ava King of Havre; and Aron W. King of Inverness; daughter Susan "Suzie" Leens of Havre; his parents, Aron W. and Carmen King of Wolf Point; father in-law, Edward L. Moe of Libby; brothers, Paul and Shelley King of Joplin and Ross King of Laurel; nieces, Danielle Blankenship, Taylor King, and nephews Drew and Owen King. Also surviving is his cat, Raven, who helped Vic get through the last five years of his journey.
