Tuesday, Feb. 2

Burger Feed fundraiser, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., Eagles Club. Meal includes salad, baked beans, chips and all the fixings with 1/4-pound burger, $7, and double burger, $8. All proceeds go toward the Havre Beneath the Streets restoration project, along with some proceeds from 6:30 p.m. bingo.

Why It Matters: Our Rural/Urban Political Divide, second in a Humanities Montana series of four conversations, this one exploring possible divisions and similarities between rural and urban Montana, 4 p.m., via Zoom. The panel features U of M professor Rob Saldin, Information & Education Specialist at Confederated Salish Kootenai Tribes Germaine White, and agricultural journalist Laura Nelson in conversation moderated by journalist and Threshold podcast producer Amy Martin. Saturday, Feb. 6

Chinook Rod and Gun Club 2nd Annual Fishing Derby, 6:45 a.m., Dry Fork Reservoir, 8 miles north of Chinook. Entry is $25 and prizes will be awarded for longest walleye, northern pike, rainbow trout and perch. Participants must have a valid fishing license, follow state regulations and use a hook and line only, though tip-ups are allowed. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
