Within hours of Hill County Health Department announcing a vaccination clinic was set next week to vaccinate 200 Hill County residents, the clinic was filled.

“All appointments for (Jan. 21) are full,” said a release sent by the health department to Havre Daily News Thursday an hour-and-a-half after the release announcing the clinic was sent. “If people would like to be on a list for the next clinic, which is still undetermined at this time, they can call 400-2369.

“All clinics are dependent on vaccine availability,” the release added.

The health department announced earlier that the Phase 1B vaccination clinic — the first set for after completion of Phase 1A that focused on frontline health care workers — was set for Thursday, Jan. 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Holiday Village Mall’s former Famous Footwear location. People age 70 and older were eligible for the clinic.

People had to call to schedule an appointment to be one of the 200 people vaccinated at the clinic.

That was filled in hours.

The original release, issued by the health department and Northern Montana Health Care and Bullhook Community Health Center, said future clinics will be announced on a weekly basis dependent on vaccine availability.
