Havre Police Department

A Second Avenue caller asked Thursday at 8:46 a.m. to speak with an officer about guns stolen from a vehicle.


Alfred James Chandler of Havre, 61, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, driving without vehicle insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia during a vehicle stop on 12th Avenue Thursday at 9:01 a.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a theft Thursday at 6:39 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Thursday, including two calls in conjunction with the two fire calls.


Firefighters and an ambulance provided standby for repair crews at a downed power line reported Thursday at 10:38 a.m. on the 1300 Block of Third Street.


Firefighters and an ambulance responded to a Thursday 9:56 p.m. report of a smoke smell on the 400 Block of Sixth Avenue. After a thorough search of the location, which was the site of a deliberately lit fire Wednesday, no fire or signs of new smoke were found.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat of unknown gender, two female cats, one male 9-month-old kitten, four male cats, two female 7-month-old kittens and one female 6-month-old kitten.


The shelter also held four female mixed-breed dogs, a male 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female 21-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a male 8-month-old shepherd puppy, a female 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female shepherd dog, a male 21-week-old mixed breed puppy and a male 6-month-old shepherd puppy.


A girl was born Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, to Kathleen and Jake Waldner of Havre.
