HHS swimmers compete

The Havre High swim team’s virtual portion of their 2021 season continued last Friday where the Ponies competed in a virtual meet with CMR, GFH, Billings Senior and Billings Skyview.

In the girls meet, the Ponies scored 14 points, while the HHS boys scored an outstanding 31 points to finish third overall.

The Havre boys were boosted by a great showing in the relays, where the Ponies took fourth in the 200 medley, fourth in the 200 freestyle relay and fifth in the 400 free. Individually, Wyatt Hagstrom took fourth in the 100 backstroke and seventh in the 200 individual medley, while Hiram Cammon was sixth in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 breaststroke. Brigham Blackwell placed sixth in the 100 backstroke and Collin Miller placed sixth in the 50 free.

On the girls side, Kobi Burchard placed fourth and sister Kyla took fifth in the 200 IM, while Alliviah Pratt was sixth in the 500 free and fifth in the 100 breaststroke. Blakelee Lines placed fifth in the 500 free, while the HHS girls took sixth in the nth the 200 medley and 400 free relay.

Havre will wrap up the regular season with a meet in Great Falls this Saturday before preparing for the Class A State Meet March 5-6 in Polson.
