Pony matmen close with a home dual spilt

Havre High's Kale VanCampen, back, goes for a pin in his 160-pound match against Lewistown Saturday at the HHS gymnasium. The Blue Ponies lost a one-point decision to the Eagles, but overall, they wrestled really well on the last weekend of the regular season.

As the Havre High wrestling team heads into the postseason, the Blue Ponies hope to be wrestling their best. And if this weekend was any indication, then they are heading in the right direction as the Blue Ponies defeated Simms and lost a close dual to highly ranked Lewistown.

"I thought we wrestled well," said Havre head coach Beau LaSalle. "There's a couple of matches (against Lewistown) I think we left some points on the board but overall as a team, I thought we wrestled pretty well."
