Bears, top four girls seeds roll on opening night

BOX ELDER - Box Elder took it to Hays Lodge-Pole early in their meeting on Tuesday night at The Den in Box Elder.

The Lady Bears put the clamps on the Thunderbirds' offense as they raced out to a 21-0 lead and cruised to a 92-52 win to open up the District 9C Girls Basketball Tournament.

"We came out tough. That's what we want to do, stick to our defense, make them turn the ball over," said Box Elder head coach Jerome Gopher.
