SATURDAY'S PREP BB: Knights stun the 9C, Horns repeat

The North Star Knights decided to interrupt another Fort Benton stampede in the HHS gymnasium. While the Fort Benton boys did repeat as District 9C champions Saturday night, earlier in the day, the North Star girls shocked the 9C tourney.

North Star edged three-time defending champion and top-ranked Fort Benton 61-58 in overtime Saturday to claim the 9C crown. North Star which got 20 points from Kenidee Wolery, and a huge three from Jade Wendland, became the first 9C team other than Fort Benton or Box Elder to win the crown in seven seasons.
