Friday, March 5

Young Child Check Ups, by appointment only, Van Orsdel United Methodist Church, 410 5th Ave. Event includes developmental screening for 3- to 5-year-olds, school registrations for  Head Start/Early Head Start, preschool and kindergarten. For kindergarten registration, parent or guardian must present birth certificate, immunization record and proof of Havre residence, and the child must be 5 on or before Sept. 10, 2021. QPR Suicide Prevention Training online, 1-2:30 p.m., via ZOOM. The training is free to anyone in Hill County. QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis. Attendees also will learn common myths about suicide; why suicide rates are high in Montana; the warning signs of suicide; how to ask if a person is suicidal; how to persuade someone to stay alive and how to get help for someone in crisis. Attendees will earn QPR certification. To register, email [email protected] .

Doggy’s Day Out Adoption Event, for PAWS of Chinook, 2 - 6 p.m., Vizsla Brewing, Holiday Village Mall. PAWS will have some of their dogs that available for adoption at the brewery for people to meet.

Sunday, March 7

Soup-N-Bread lunch, noon, Eagles Club with all-you-can-eat of a variety of soups and breads, $5. Proceeds to go to Eagle Riders Club charities.

Burger Feed fundraiser, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Eagles Club. Meal includes salad, baked beans, chips and all the fixings with 1/4-pound burger, $7, and double burger, $8. All proceeds, along with some proceeds from 6:30 p.m. bingo, go toward the current Eagles Club project.
