Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Taya Trottier, Harlem Girls Basketball

The Harlem girls are headed to the Northern B Divisional for the fourth year in a row and junior Taya Trottier is a big reason why. At last weekend's District 2B in Poplar, Trottier averaged 14 points and seven rebounds a game in helping the Wildcats finish third overall. In the consolation game, Trottier scored 17 points as Harlem edged Wolf Point 40-37. Trottier, a two-time Class B All-State selection, is headed to play college basketball for the Montana State University-Northern Skylights.

Josh Warp, Havre Boys Basketball

The Havre Blue Ponies didn’t go down without a fight at last weekend’s Eastern A boys tournament in Billings. And that includes HHS senior Josh Warp, who scored 11 points in Havre’s opening win over Livingston Thursday, followed by a 15-point outburst in the Blue Ponies’ close loss to Billings Central in the Eastern A semifinals. Warp, a three-sports standout in basketball, tennis and golf at HHS, finished the season averaging 12 points per game, while leading Class A in free-throw shooting and was Top 10 in assists.
