State and local COVID-19 update, March 26, 2021

Even with numbers of new cases down, officials and local health departments are reminding people still to work to keep transmission of COVID-19 down.

In the same release announcing no new cases, for example, Blaine County Health Department reminded people to “wash your hands, wear a mask in public and stay home if you are ill.”

With no new cases, Fort Belknap Indian Community said Thursday in its statement, “This continues to be extremely dangerous.”

Rocky Boy Health Center reminded people the mask mandate still is in place on Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation.

The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Montana on the state map after today’s update was 103,980 with 149 new cases, 979 active. The number of active hospitalizations was 42. The number of deaths was 1,435.

Blaine County Health Department reported Thursday evening being notified of no new cases, 752 total, 1 active, 24 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Thursday evening being notified of 1 new case, 1931 total, 3 active, 42 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center reported March 11, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, 794 total, none active, no active hospitalizations, total deaths not listed. The center has said it will not post data if no numbers change.

Fort Belknap, reported Thursday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, no new cases, 429 total, none active, no active hospitalizations, 12 deaths.

Phillips County Health Department reported Thursday evening 1 new case, 521 total, 4 active, 4 active hospitalizations, 17 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 117 total, none active, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 494 total, none active, 5 death.
