Havre High thinclads score big in Cut Bank

Blue Ponies begin long-awaited track season with plenty of success

It had been a long two years for the Havre High track and field team, but Saturday, they finally got to compete again after their 2020 season was shut down by COVID-19. NEW HHS head coach Ryan Gatch demonstrated a variety of feelings over finally getting back on the track.

"Fantastic, awesome, exhilarating, great," Gatch said. "No other way to describe it but simply awesome."

The Blue Ponies took little time getting adjusted after the layoff as they finished second in both girls and boys varsity. The girls team scored 71.5 points to finish second behind Conrad, who scored 110.5 points. Th...
