Born toward the end of the depression November 9, 1938, Caroline had to be picked up off the floor of her parents' homestead and placed on the table to keep from getting wet in the great flood of 1939. Caroline was an only child and got reprimanded quite a bit in her younger years trying to escape her parents' yard and travel next door to her cousins to play and visit with her small dog.

She attended school in Laredo until eighth grade, and then was shipped to the old Havre High School. Graduating from high school she had the best of friends! A quiet girl, she had some of the most outgoing girlfriends, Mini Henagar "Mini Ha Ha," Virginia Campbell, François Lammerding, Virginia Rosenbaum, Marlene Phelps, and others. Math was always hard for her, but she always praised Kenny Lotton and others for helping her get through it all.

Caroline worked for the Vita Rich Dairy and the old Dairy Queen before marrying Kenneth Lloyd Wilson. Her most rewarding years were raising her children and seeing them through school. During this time and 40 years long, she was a house, farm and military wife for one of the largest farming operations in Hill County. It wasn't always pleasant running down the dirt roads getting supplies for everyone and the crews. She mastered cooking from her mother and procurement from her John Wayne demanding husband. Once in a great while, she traveled to see relatives but did more travel after Kenneth passed away. You wouldn't have thought it, but she traveled to the coasts, Vegas, the Caribbean Islands, Hawaii and the island of King Kong.

She led a very hard-working family and was very proud of them. They never left her side. The family motto was to "work hard and play hard," and it was very evident in her children. They coaxed her into enjoying herself later in life, and their motto on vacation was "to eat the best and throw the rest." A fan of Elvis, Caroline discovered a love of Tom Jones' music at the age of 72 while attending a concert at the MGM Casino & Resort.

Preceding her death were her husband, Kenneth; beloved son Bart, and parents, Carl and Lucille (Rosenbaum) Becker.

Caroline leaves behind her beloved children Brian, Kenny J. (Marlene), and Cindy Lu; grandchildren, Riche' Wilson, Austin (Amber McMurphy) Wilson, Monique (Michael) Wilson-Gibson, Kenny Lathan Wilson, and Christopher (Alyssa Metz) Watson; and great-granddaughter, Angel.
