Obituary - Raymond P. Nelson

Tuesday, April 27, 2021, Raymond P. Nelson of Goose Creek, SC, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at age 74.

Raymond was born September 6, 1946, in Whitefish Montana to Roy V. and Nora C. Nelson.

May 25, 1968, he married Nancy Mae Abrams in East Providence, RI. They raised two sons, Michael David of Summerville, SC, and Dennis Patrick of Bladenboro, NC.

As a master chief engineman, Raymond retired in 1993 from the U.S. Navy with 26 years of service. He then worked part time and was a faithful member of the VFW Post 9281 in Byson City, NC. In May of 2020, they returned to...
