Tom Bessette

Tom Bessette, 79, passed away of a stroke April 20, 2021, at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula.

Tom was a legendary trucker. In his younger days, he did long haul from coast to coast. He had his own cattle truck and hauled cars and John Deere machinery. At the time of his death, he was still driving locally for P&L Pallet Repair and Ox & Son Auto Auction.

Tom enjoyed family gatherings, especially the holidays with his grandkids. He liked watching wrestling and the NFR. He attended many of his grandkid's basketball and football games through the years.

Tom will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and the neighborhood in which he walked every day.

Tom is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Mary; son, Travis (Jennifer); daughter, Carmen; two grandsons, Colton and Austin; and his youngest brother, Byron. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Marion Bessette, and two of his brothers, Wade and Dave.

A celebration of his life will be held in Great Falls at Ox & Son Auto Auction (697 Vaughn S. Frontage Rd.) Saturday, May 8, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Donations in Tom's name can be made to the Great Falls Rescue Mission where Tom was an avid supporter.
