State and local COVID-19 update, May 4, 2021

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org, operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.

The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Montana on the state map after TODAY’s update was 109,315 with 232 new cases, 1,165 active. The number of active hospitalizations was 62. The number of deaths was 1,577.

Blaine County Health Department reported Monday evening being notified of 2 new cases so far in May, with 777 total cases in the county, 23 active, 24 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Monday evening that 5 new cases were reported in Hill County May 1-3 with 1,967 total, 9 active, 2 active hospitalizations, 44 deaths.

Rocky Boy has had no data reported since April 2. Its health department has said numbers will not be reported if no change occurs. April 2 it reported 794 total cases with 788 recoveries. It has had 6 deaths.

Fort Belknap, reported Monday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, 2 new cases through the weekend and Monday, 447 total, 17 active, no active hospitalizations, 12 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 117 total, none active, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 2 new cases, 501 total, 3 active, 6 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .
