Pastor's Corner: Mother's Day Scriptures

Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 9, 2021. I thought for this week's religious article that I would quote several Mother's Day Scriptures and make comments where appropriate:

"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him." - 1 Samuel 1:27

In this Scripture, a formerly childless woman recalls how she cried out to the Lord to be able to have a baby. She had been barren for years, and in that culture being childless was a curse.
