Applications being taken for Havre spay/neuter clinic

Havre Daily News Staff and Friends of the Havre Animal Shelter

Friends of the Havre Animal Shelter are now taking applications for their June 19-20 free spay/neuter clinic for cats and dogs.

The clinic is focused on getting this service to Havre and Hill County residents with a household income of less than $35,000. Pet owners who do not fall inside these parameters can still call to get on the waiting list, but preference will be given to people in this income bracket, in Havre, then in Hill County, before all other applicants, which will be scheduled if room allows.

Organizers are expecting a high volume of calls and ask for people to have patience as organizers answer questions, make callbacks and fit appointments into the weekend schedule. If no one answers the phone, applicants are asked to leave a message with their name and contact number, rather than continuously calling.

Space is limited and applications for spay/neuter appointments will only be taken for a few weeks, so people are asked to call right away.

The phone number to call for the clinic is 406-390-0745, and applicants are asked to save this number in their phones, so they will know to answer their phone when organizers return their call.
