Even amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, graduation season is in full swing.

The school year in the area was heavily revised last year early in the pandemic, with schools all conducting classes remotely from mid-March through the end of the year and graduation ceremonies greatly revised.

This year, with some or all classes held in the schools through the year and most districts closer to normal by this month, the ceremonies also were closer to normal.

Havre High School’s graduation ceremony is scheduled for Sunday at Blue Pony Stadium, however, that is dependent on weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the school gym. Full COVID-19 safety measures will be in place, Havre Daily News was told.

Rocky Boy High School will have its graduation Thursday at the Rocky Boy Football Field at 6 p.m. The school did not respond to phone calls asking about COVID-19 protocol information

Some ceremonies have already been held in the region, with varying COVID-19 restrictions.

Hays-Lodgepole High School held its ceremony May 15 at Sullivan Football Field with full COVID-19 safety precautions in effect.

North Star High School’s ceremony on May 22 was held at the high school gym in Rudyard. The use of face masks was requested.

Chinook High School’s May 23 ceremony in the school gym was held with a limited seating restriction in effect.

The high schools in Big Sandy, Turner and Chester’s Chester-Joplin-Inverness also had ceremonies May 23, each with no protocols in place. The Big Sandy and Turner ceremonies were held in the school gyms while CJI’s was in the auditorium.

Harlem High School’s ceremony the same day included limited seating along with mask and social distancing requirements.

Box Elder School’s May 23 ceremony in the school gym included a 20-guest limit, the use of masks, social distancing along with families being seated in sections.
