The road show goes on for the Northstars

The Havre Northstars American Legion baseball road show was set to continue Tuesday night but that game with the Glasgow Reds was moved. However, the Northstars won't be slowing down.

The game with Glasgow, which was a non-conference, nine-inning affair, was canceled because the Reds had to make up a game with another conference opponent. However, Havre will now get ready to head to Lewistown for five more tournament games this weekend.

The Northstars are coming off a five-game outing in Three Forks last weekend, and, they'll jump right back into the fray in Lewistown. The Northstars will open the weekend with a game against the Gallatin Valley Outlaws Thursday afternoon, followed by back-to-back day games Friday. Havre will take on the Glacier Twins and the Mead Panthers Friday, then they'll battle the Miles City Mavericks Saturday morning, before tournament play begins Saturday and Sunday.

The tourney in Lewistown is another chance for the Northstars to keep sharpening their skills as they head toward the heart of their season. Of course, the Northstars also need the games because of the lack of conference opponents again this summer. The Northern District is composed of just Havre, Lewistown and Great Falls, due to the closure of the U.S./Canadian border, as well as Tri-County not fielding a A team this season.

Havre begins play in Lewistown Thursday at 5:30 p.m. against the Gallatin Valley Outlaws and will remain in Lewistown through Sunday.
