Obituary - Mike Amor

On June 16th, 2021, Mike Amor passed away at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls following a short battle with cancer. He was 59 years old.

Michael "Mike" Amor, child of God, was born November 27th, 1961, in Renton, Washington, to Sharon and Dwane Amor. The family moved back to Havre in 1971, where Mike attended school. After graduating from Havre High School, Mike joined the United States Air Force, where he served for three years.

Upon returning to Havre, he began working at IGA where Alex Tomask trained him to be an excellent meat cutter. Mike married Cathy Jenkins and they had a daughter, Valerie.

Sometime after Mike and Cathy were divorced, Mike met and married Angie Hoops. Mike, Angie and Valerie moved to Conrad, where Mike worked as a meat cutter for IGA. Mike and Angie were later divorced.

Mike then moved to Ennis and worked at Madison Foods until moving to Choteau, where he worked as a meat cutter at Rex Market until his passing.

Mike loved spending time with his family, riding motorcycles with his brother, growing sweet peas, camping, cowboy boots, Flathead cherries, and his cats. Mike was a Grand Master Bridge player.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Dwane Amor.

He is survived by the most important person in his life, his daughter, Valerie Amor from Knoxville, TN; his mother, Sharon Amor from Bozeman; his brother, Dean Amor from Great Falls; his sister, Shelly Bates and brother-in-law Jay Bates from Bozeman, and several nieces and nephews.

A family service will be held at a later date.
