Multiple fires being fought in Blaine County

Chinook Volunteer Fire Department acceping food, drink donations

Montana Interactive Fire Map shows this morning the location of fires in Blaine County. The department reported Thursday evening it was fighting seven fires in southern Blaine County. It reported shortly after midnight that several of the fires were near 100 percent containment.

Chinook Volunteer Fire Department reported on its Facebook page Thursday evening that it was fighting seven fires in southern Blaine County.

The department said in a post it would appreciate any help with donations people could give, with the doors of the fire hall at 1201 Illinois St. in Chinook open at 6 a.m. and someone staffing the hall to accept donations all day.

"Non-perishables are wonderful in all size, shape or form," a post said.
