After a year away, fair sports return to Havre starting tonight

Taryn Reid participates in the goat tying at the 2019 Havre Junior Rodeo. The annual rodeo always kicks off sports at the Great Northern Fair, and, after the fair being canceled last year, fair sports are back, starting with tonight's Havre Junior Rodeo.

After a difficult 2020 for just about everybody, the Havre community will get the chance to unwind at the Great Northern Fair for the first time since 2019. One place they can go for entertainment is the arena that will feature the Havre Junior Rodeo, Great Northern RAM Rodeo and the Jaycees Demolition Derby as part of a big week of fair sports.

The junior rodeo will kick things off tonight. At the event, riders from the age of 4 to 18 get the chance to show what they've got in the arena. The junior rodeo will see riders compete in events such as barrel racing, sheep riding, goat tying and...
