Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a crash between a van and a truck reported at 10:50 a.m. Thursday from the 200 Block of First Street.

Officers making a motor vehicle stop on Fourth Avenue at 3:02 p.m. arrested Dustin J. after buffalo of Great Falls, 30, on charges of obstructing a peace officer, failure to carry or produce proof of insurance, first offense; driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and driving under the influence, intoxication by drugs or alcohol.

Officers issued a summons after responding to a report made from the 100 Block of First Street West at 4:59 p.m. Thursday of a 2-year-old in the front seat of a vehicle not in a safety restraint.

A caller at 6:26 p.m. Thursday reported a scam caller claiming to be from Publisher's Clearing House.

After a caller from McKinley Avenue reported at 6:36 p.m. a man running into someone's apartment, officers arrested Dustin Wade Bacon of Box Elder, 32, on a charge of criminal trespass to property and on a Justice or City court warrant.

After a caller at 9:26 p.m. Thursday from 12th Street reported two women yelling and trying to get into a residence, officers arrested Memoree Rose Sunchild of Hare, 34, on a charge of criminal trespass to property and Ariel Micheala Sunchild of Havre, 30, on a charge of criminal trespass to property and on two Justice or City court warrants.

Officers responding to a report made at 16th Avenue and Second Street at 11:17 p.m. Thursday of a man drinking and driving arrested Mike Allen Dunning of Havre, 38, on charges of DUI and driving without insurance, first offense.

After a caller from Montana Avenue reported at 11:55 p.m. Thursday that a man was honking and trying to pull the caller over, officers arrested John Alan Horseman of Fort Belknap, 50, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller at 12:35 p.m. Thursday reported a scam caller claiming to be from Publisher's Clearing House.

Deputies responding to a call near the 3500 Block of U.S. Highway 2 West arrested Desirea Lee Writingbird of Box Elder, 41, on charges of shoplifting and criminal trespass.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to seven calls Thursday.

Firefighters responded to a report that a gas line was hit on the 1300 Block of Fourth Street at 11:14 a.m. Thursday, but upon arrival found no gas leak because the gas had already been turned off. NorthWestern Energy was notified before firefighters left the scene.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three 7-week-old kittens, three 14-week-old kittens, a 6-month-old kitten, a 10-week-old kitten, three 17-week-old kittens and a 12-week-old kitten all of unknown gender, six female cats, one female 23-week-old kitten and three male cats. A male 14-week-old kitten and a male 15-week-old kitten were being held separately.

The shelter also held three female and two male 10-week-old puppies, a female 17-week-old puppy, a female Doberman pinscher dog, a female shar pei dog and a male husky dog.
