Thank you Jeremy for advancing youth golf

Local Golf Report

As the Havre High golf coach, I want to do everything I can to help grow the program, and the youth golf. But, I’m not alone in that thinking. No, there’s a lot of folks who feel the same way I do, and one of them is former Blue Pony great Jeremy Jensen.

Jeremy started the Havre Youth Golf Summer League a few years back, and it’s become a great tool in helping to advance the game of golf for our youths in Havre. And, not only does the league offer kids the chance to learn to play and compete in a tournament environment, there are few better than to get awesome instruction from than Jeremy.

The league recently wrapped up its 2021 season, where 21 boys and girls participated. In the final tournament of the summer, Ethan Stortz shot 46 to win the Blue Tees Division. Kaden Larson shot 46 to win the Red Tees No. 1 Division and Pete Stiffarm Jr., shot 61 to win the Red Tees No. 2 Division.

So congrats to all the kids who took part in this year’s youth league, and thanks you Jeremy. Thank you for all you’re doing for youth golf in Havre. I, and so many others, greatly appreciate it.

The adults are also starting to wind down their seasons, and playoffs are underway.
