State and local COVID-19 update, Aug. 19, 2021

The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Montana on the state map after today’s update was 121,877 with 499 new cases, 3,269 active. The number of active hospitalizations was 200. The number of deaths was 1,752.

Blaine County Health Department reported Wednesday evening being notified of 1 new case, 15 active, no active hospitalizations listed, 898 total cases, 24 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Wednesday evening that 13 new cases were reported, 57 active, 2 active hospitalizations, 2,160 total cases, 46 deaths.

Rocky Boy — reported Wednesday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, 11 new cases, 31 active, 28 active on Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, no active hospitalizations listed, 832 total cases. It has had 7 deaths.

Fort Belknap — reported Wednesday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, no new cases, 10 active, no active hospitalizations, 521 total cases, 12 deaths.

Liberty County Health Department reported Wednesday evening 4 new cases, 16 active, 139 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new case, 3 active, 523 total cases, 7 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org , operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
