State and local COVID-19 updates, Aug. 26, 2021

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 629 new cases, 4,239 active cases, 210 hospitalizations and 1,781 deaths. The cumulative total for the state as 124,910 cases.

Blaine County Health Department reported Wednesday evening being notified of 3 new cases, 41 active, 1 active hospitalizations, 873 total cases, 24 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Wednesday evening that 13 new cases were reported, 87 active, 5 active hospitalization, 2,225 total cases, 47 deaths.

Rocky Boy reported Wednesday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, 2 new cases, 50 active, 42 active on Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, 1 active hospitalization, 867 total cases. It has had 7 deaths.

Fort Belknap reported Wednesday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, 1 new case, 17 active, no active hospitalizations, 531 total cases, 12 deaths.

Liberty County Health Department reported Wednesday 5 new cases this week, 14 active, 150 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new case, 3 active, 527 total cases, 7 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org , operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
