State and local COVID-19 update, Sept. 1, 2021

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 895 new cases, 5,494 active cases, 249 hospitalizations and 1,803 deaths. The cumulative total for the state as 128,098 cases.

Blaine County Health Department reported Tuesday evening being notified of 5 new cases, 45 active, 2 active hospitalizations, 959 total cases, 24 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Tuesday evening that 19 new cases were reported, 84 active, 6 active hospitalizations, 2,282 total cases, 47 deaths.

Rocky Boy reported Tuesday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, 3 new cases, 35 active, 1 active hospitalization, 883 total cases. It has had 7 deaths.

Fort Belknap reported Tuesday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, 2 new cases, 19 active, no active hospitalizations, 540 total cases, 12 deaths.

Liberty County reported on the state update this morning, had 0 new cases, 11 active, 157 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new cases, 8 active, 534 total cases, 7 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org, operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
