State and local COVID-19 update, Sept. 9, 2021

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 1,001 new cases, 6,784 active cases, 316 hospitalizations and 1,830 deaths. The cumulative total for the state as 132,750 cases.

Blaine County Health Department reported Wednesday evening being notified of 4 new cases, 44 active, no active hospitalizations listed, 928 total cases, 24 deaths.

Hill County Health Department reported Wednesday evening that 18 new cases were reported, 96 active, 5 active hospitalizations, 2,339 total cases, 48 deaths.

Rocky Boy reported Wednesday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill County numbers, 8 new cases with 19 recoveries but reported no other data. The post said an update should be available later today. It has had 8 deaths.

Fort Belknap reported Wednesday evening, also reported on either Blaine or Phillips County numbers, 4 new cases, 18 active, no active hospitalizations, 562 total cases, 12 deaths.

Liberty County Public Health reported Wednesday 6 new cases confirmed in the past week, 8 active, 163 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 3 new cases, 16 active, 528 total cases, 7 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org , operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
