MSU-N cross country, golf and rodeo set to start the fall

The Montana State University-Northern rodeo team is among many fall sports that are getting underway this week and beyond. The Lights and Skylights travel to the Northwest College Rodeo this week, and are just two weeks away from hosting the MSU-Northern Rodeo in Havre. MSU-N golf and cross country also begin next week.

After a year of sports that was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Montana State University-Northern sports hopes for a more normal year beginning this fall. While MSU-N sports fans will be focusing on the return of football and volleyball, they should not ignore the return of the college's cross country, golf and rodeo teams this fall. 

The MSU-N cross country teams will begin their season Sept. 13 with the Frontier Conference Preview in Dillon. They will then head to Missoula for the University of Montana Open Sept. 24. In the month of October, they will compete in the Montana State Uni...
