Local Golf Report: More club champions crowned

The weather is changing, leaves are turning, and the bowling season is getting started. That must mean golf is slowly heading toward hibernation.

I know, there's some diehards who will play no matter what the weather is doing but, eventually, in Montana anyway, golf does have to stop. So, again, I will remind everyone that there will be just three golf columns left including this one, so, if you want something included, please let me know.

The golf season however, is just getting started for the Montana State University-Northern Lights and Skylights. They opened the Frontier Conference season at the Montana Tech tournament Monday and today. I'll have results from that tourney in next week's From Tee to Green.

Also playing golf in the Frontier this fall and spring is former Blue Pony Josh Warp, who finished fifth at the Class A state tournament last fall, and is now on the University of Providence golf squad.

Club chippers were contested again this past weekend.

Last Sunday at Beaver Creek Golf Course, Adam Demontiney won the BCGC Men's Club Championship.

Last Sunday, Prairie Farms Golf Course held its annual Women's Club Championship. Carol Culp won low gross and Club Champion with a 91 and Abby Nicholas won low net with a 60.

Congrats to the champions at both courses on a great season.
