A full month of high school volleyball is now in the books on the Hi-Line. And last week was another busy one.
In a huge District 7C match last Tuesday night, the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks took down the Chinook Sugarbeeters by scores of 18-25, 25-17, 25-14 and 25-23. Tatum Hull had a big match for the Hawks with 12 kills, four blocks and four aces.
Unfortunately, the winning didn't continue for CJI Thursday night, as the hawks fell to Geraldine-Highwood by scores of 25-18, 25-23 and 25-15. Hull was consistent again for the Hawks, but the Rivals were too tough.
Thursday night also saw Fort Benton keep winning, as the Longhorns turned away Centerville 25-22, 25-12 and 30-28. Ashlee Wang had a strong all-around match for the Longhorns with an ace, 15 assists and 10 kills.
In Class B action Thursday night, Shelby knocked off Rocky Boy by scores of 25-10, 25-8 and 25-12, as the Morning Stars struggles continue this season.
On Saturday night, North Star lost a tough match to the Rivals, by scores of 25-20, 19-25, 25-9 and 25-20. In the loss, the Knights got nine kills by Kira King and 24 assists and an ace form Rainee Watson.
No other scores or box scores were sent to the Havre Daily News from this past weekend's matches.
