From Tee to Green
Havre's Steve Johnstone holds up seven fingers after scoring his career seventh hole-in-one last week at Beaver Creek Golf Course. Johnstone aced the Par-3 13th hole at BCGC for yet another ace in his storied local golf career. This year's From Tee to Green is winding down for the season, and next week will be the final column of the year. The golf season may be winding down, but it isn't over yet. And a longtime Havre golfer made his mark before the end of yet another season.
Last week, Steve Johnstone aced the Par 3 13th hole at Beaver Creek Golf Course. It was his incredible seventh career hole in one. Congrats to Stoney.
Congrats also to the Montana State University-Northern golf teams on the start of their 2021 fall season. The Lights and Skylights competed at last week's Montana Tech Tournament at the Butte Country Club, a tournament swept by the Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears. The Lights and Skylights are back in action this week with the annual University of Providence Tournament, which will be held at Meadowlark Country Club this week. Northern wraps up the season with the Rocky Tournament next week in Billings.
Last weekend also saw BCGC hold the annual Angry Beaver Tournament, and the challenges were real, as the wind blew on a tough course setup.
Also of note, next Tuesday will be the last From Tee to Green for this year. Hate to do it, but it's time to put another awesome golf season to rest. If you want something in the last column, please let me know before next Tuesday.
