State and local COVID-19 update, Sept. 23, 2021

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 1,144 new cases, 10,842 active cases, 402 hospitalizations and 1,930 deaths. The cumulative total for the state as 145,000 cases.

Blaine County, reported on the state update this morning, had 2 new cases. Other data conflicted with figures previously released by Blaine County Health Department, which did not issue a report Wednesday.

Hill County Health Department reported Wednesday evening that 27 new cases, 161 active, 6 active hospitalizations, 2,728 total cases, 52 deaths.

Rocky Boy reported Wednesday, also reported on either Chouteau or Hill county numbers, 7 new cases, 46 active, 2 active hospitalizations, 1,002 total cases. It has reported 8 deaths.

Fort Belknap did not release updated information Wednesday.

Liberty County Public Heath reported 39 active cases Wednesday, The state online tracking update this morning reported 7 new cases, 209 total cases, 1 death.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 14 active, 584 total cases, 7 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org, operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
