Vaccination booster clinics set at Holiday Village Mall

With all three COVID-19 vaccines now authorized to be used as boosters for authorized people, Northern Montana Health Care is holding booster clinics at Holiday Village Mall next week.

Eligible people — who belong to an approved group and have waited the required period since finishing their vaccination series — can get a booster Wednesday at Holiday Village from noon to 5 p.m. or Thursday from noon to 7 p.m.

A flyer from Northern Montana Heath Care says Pfizer and Moderna boosters will be available.

The Food and Drug Administration approved boosters for all three authorized vaccines, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the Moderna vaccine and the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine, and people can use any of the vaccines for a booster regardless of the vaccine they originally received.

People who received Pfizer or Moderna vaccines must wait at least six months from their last shot, and people who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine must wait at least two months since their shot.

People who are eligible are anyone 65 or older, people 18 and older who live in long-term care settings, people 18 and older with qualifying underlying conditions and people 18 and older who live or work in high-risk settings, the flyer said.

People are asked to bring their vaccination card and forms are available online at http://nmhcare.org on the “documents” page and at Northern Montana Hospital’s Facebook page and will be available at the clinics.
