Local election results reported

With the unofficial returns tallied on the election this week, some new faces are in some of the offices.

In Blaine County, retired sheriff Glenn Heustis upset incumbent Keith Hanson in the race for mayor. Huestis received 222 votes to Hanson’s 179.

Robert Smith won the race for councilperson in Ward 1 in Chinook, defeating Michal Radovich 121-86.

Shannon Sattleen won the race to represent Ward 2 in the Chinook City Council race. Sattleen received 140 votes while Mitch Haider received 41.

In Harlem, Kim Hansen won a close race for mayor, defeating Douglas Stuart 87-69.
