Fort Belknap search warrant unrelated to police shooting

Due to an editor’s error, a front-page story in Wednesday”s edition of Havre Daly News misreported that a search warrant served on Fort Belknap Indian’s Reservation was related to an officer-involved shooting fatality Oct. 23.

The warrant, executed by the FBI the Tuesday morning, was not related to the shooting.

Clayburn Grant died after being shot by a Fort Belknap police officer in the early morning of Oct. 23.

FBI Is investigating the shooting.

The bureau did not release any information on to what the execution of the search warrant involved.
