Havre Police Department

A vehicle crash between a Ford Edge and a Dodge pickup truck was reported by a caller on First Street West reported Thursday at 7:58 a.m.

A shotgun was reported stolen from a pickup on First Street at 8:27 a.m. Thursday.

Someone was arrested on a warrant served at Havre Middle School Thursday at 10:13 a.m. No details on charges were provided.

A caller at a First Street establishment reported Thursday at 8:58 p.m. that sewers were backed up into the building. Public Works was notified.

--

Thursday at 11:54 p.m., a Washington Avenue caller reported a hit and run crash.

A caller at a First Street establishment reported finding crowbar marks on the back door of the business at 1:56 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Grace Larae Seymour of Chinook, 19, was arrested on a state District Court warrant and a Justice or City court warrant after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported drug offenses Wednesday at 2 p.m.

A theft was reported Wednesday at 4:47 p.m. at a U.S. Highway 2 West business.

A 5:35 a.m. Thursday caller north of Box Elder reported a dead horse in the middle of the road. A caller at 7:11 a.m. on U.S. 87 between mile markers 91 and 92 reported a foal was hanging around near a horse that had been hit on the road and the caller was worried the foal would get hit as well.

Dispatch received a 3:06 p.m. Thursday call about an injured woman in a car that had been hit in Box Elder. The caller then reported that Rocky Boy Police and medical had been notified and were responding. Havre Fire Department ambulance also responded to the scene.

Kirby William Gilge of Havre, 44, was issued a summons on a shoplifting charge, after a caller at a First Street West business reported a theft Thursday at 6:43 p.m.

Montana Highway Patrol

Troopers responded to a 3:07 p.m. Thursday report of a two-vehicle crash in Box Elder. When a passenger vehicle southbound on U.S. Highway 87 attempted to make a lefthand turn, it was struck on the driver's side by the larger vehicle behind. The driver of the struck vehicle was injured and transported to the hospital, Trooper Chris Baker said, but a passenger was uninjured. The passenger car was severely damaged, but the second vehicle which had a reinforced bumper and guard, sustained minimal damage.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to seven calls Thursday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two kittens of unknown gender, seven female cats, four male cats, one male 13-week-old kitten, and a female and a male six-month-old kittens.

The shelter also held a male shepherd, a male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull, two female mixed-breed dogs, a female 22-week-old Labrador retriever puppy, a female 22-week-old border collie-Australian cattle dog-blue heeler puppy and a male mixed-breed dog. Also, a male and a female 13-week-old mixed-breed puppies and a female 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy were being held separately.
