Havre Police Department

Officers investigated a possible domestic disturbance reported Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. by a caller checking on a co-worker who heard screaming from inside the Second Street Northeast residence.

A dog was reported Wednesday at 11:22 a.m. running at large on Fifth Avenue.

Officers investigated a hit and run vehicle crash on 10th Street West at 11:46 a.m. Wednesday.

A vehicle crash was reported on First Street Wednesday at 4:21 p.m.

Abagayle Syverson of Havre, 19, was issued a summons on charges that included minor in possession and Jeremiah Mark Headdress of Havre, 20 was issued a summons on an MIP charge, after a Wednesday 9:41 p.m. caller reported a domestic disturbance involving multiple people on 16th Street.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies were asked Wednesday at 3:16 p.m. to provide assistance at Hill County Detention Center.

Travis Mitchell Scheffelmaer of Dodson, 25, was issued a summons on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license after a caller reported suspicious activity on the cut-across road south of the landfill.

Montana Highway Patrol

Montana Highway Patrol responded at 1:17 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a vehicle crash with an injury on U.S. Highway 2 a few miles east of Chinook near the intersection with the Old Highway Road. No further information was made available by print deadline.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Wednesday and one early this morning. Firefighters responded to an 8:11 p.m. report of a smoke odor on the 400 Block of Sixth Avenue but found no evidence of fire.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two cats of unknown gender, five female cats, four male cats, one male 14-week-old kitten, one female and one male six-month-old kittens, a female 20-week-old kitten and a female 7-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held a male shepherd, a male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull, two female mixed-breed dogs, a female 23-week-old Labrador retriever puppy, a female 23-week-old border collie-Australian cattle dog-blue heeler cross puppy and a male mixed-breed dog. Also, a male and a female 14-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately.
