Britney was born October 5, 2000, in Havre, Montana to Heather Oats and Charles LaFromboise Sr. She was raised in Rocky Boy, Montana, and graduated from Box Elder High School in 2019 and was a member of the back-to-back Box Elder Lady Bears State Championship teams.

After she graduated from high school, Britney went on to Stone Child College and graduated with an associate degree in business. She had plans to attend Montana State University-Northern in the spring and planned on joining the U.S. Navy thereafter.

Britney was creative and artistic, had a beautiful soul, and brought laughter everywhere she went. She loved music, listening to it, singing, dancing, and creating little songs to fit any occasion, one of the most memorable songs being “Soup Delivery Girl” for her delivering soup on winter days to her grandparents. She was a self-taught guitar player, played the trumpet very well and loved skateboarding; often coming home with scrapes, bruises, and stories. She had the best taste in clothing, loved thrift shopping, and often brought home some questionable finds. She loved coffee and had dreams of owning her own coffee shop one day called “Britz Fix.”

Although her time on earth was brief, Britney left an enormous impact on all those that knew her. She was constantly on the go, going everywhere and anywhere with her sisters or her friends, driving her White Jeep Wrangler “Nicki” which was her pride and joy. Her presence will be missed tremendously. She brightened the darkest days and brought beauty to the world around her. She took on every challenge with a beautiful smile on her face and a sparkle in her eyes. We can all learn from Britney, to dance like no one is watching and to love endlessly.

She was preceded in death by her sister Ashley Oats; uncles James Swan and George LaFromboise; grandfathers Ronald Swan and Donald James; grandmother Theresa Harris; great-grandparents, James and Madeline Oats, Ruth and Dalton James, Joseph “Chili” Lafromboise, Mary Ann Parker Whiteford, Charles “Cigar” LaFromboise and Beatrice Domrique.

Britney is survived by her parents, Heather Oats and Charles LaFromboise Sr .; brother, Charles LaFromboise, Jr .; sister Charlize LaFromboise; aunts, Jamie (Brian) Molina, Rose (Gerri Stiffarm) Cochran, Monica Big Left Hand and Katrina LaFromboise; uncles Cecil LaFromboise, Darien LaFromboise, Kirby LaFromboise, Lyndell Stump, Russell Houle Jr. and Leon Houle; grandparents Leona Swan, John “Muzzy” Oats, Joseph and Loranda LaFromboise and Emma Harris; and numerous cousins and friends.
