Havre High basketball teams survive at Malta

Just like in both of their season openers against Laurel, the Havre High boys and girls basketball teams had to grind it out for victories Tuesday night at Malta. In the first game of the night, the boys needed a 10-point comeback in the fourth quarter and a go-ahead 3-pointer from Josh Currie to defeat Malta, 40-39.

“We just grinded to a victory. I was just really proud of the way they acted and kept their composure down the stretch,” HHS boys basketball head coach Walynn Burgess said. “They’re starting to grow and show the maturity of a team that eventually could make some noise.”
