State and local COVID-19 update, Dec. 9, 2021

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 275 new cases, 2,888 active cases, 172 hospitalizations and 2,788 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 193,543 cases.

Hill County Health Department said in its update Wednesday that 8 new cases were reported and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 10 active cases in the county and 3,511 total cases. No active hospitalizations were listed. The county has had 71 deaths.

Blaine County Health Department said in its update Wednesday that it was notified of 3 new cases and 5 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 9 active cases in the county and 1,522 total cases. 1 person was discharged from the hospital with no active hospitalizations listed. The county has had 29 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill county reports, reported Wednesday 5 new cases and no met the criteria to be considered recovered with 8 active cases and no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 1,206 total cases and 10 deaths.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, did not update numbers Wednesday.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 1 active, 267 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 2 new cases, 7 active, 784 total cases, 8 deaths.
